The role
As a Supply Chain Assistant, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll be responsible for the management of material requirements and the associated accounting requirements within the defence equipment contract.
Day to day, you'll maintain stock level accuracy within the warehouse, provide support and assistance to the wider supply chain team, identify areas of weakness in the control of the material and verify the accuracy of inventory and store locations records by completing stocktakes.
Essential experience of the Supply Chain Assistant:
This is a full time role based on site in Ashchurch.
The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance level for this role.

The role
As a Supply Chain Assistant, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll be responsible for the management of material requirements and the associated accounting requirements within the defence equipment contract.
Day to day, you'll maintain stock level accuracy within the warehouse, provide support and assistance to the wider supply chain team, identify areas of weakness in the control of the material and verify the accuracy of inventory and store locations records by completing stocktakes.
- Ensure all operations are conducted safely and any H&S concerns or suggested improvements are highlighted
- Comply with Risk Assessments and Process Guides
- Action the receipt of consignments within the Goods Inward Department ensuring all consignments are checked and any discrepancies with quantity or quality are highlighted.
- Ensure that the warehouse is maintained to a high standard
- Once formally trained, carry out appropriate accounting requirements using the appropriate IT system
Essential experience of the Supply Chain Assistant:
- We primarily require personnel with good IT skills so they can use our various systems associated with Material Accounting
- Management of the Joint Deployed Inventory (MJDI) experience
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft packages
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Efficiently work towards deadlines and multitask
